TEAM PENSKE ESPORTS

Team Penske entered the ultra-competitive and rapidly-growing realm of esports in 2019 and the team has continued to build its presence in virtual racing across several different platforms in 2020.

ENASCAR HEAT PRO LEAGUE

In its inaugural season of online racing, Team Penske joined the eNASCAR Heat Pro League (eNHPL) in 2019.

The eNHPL was launched in 2019 following collaborative efforts from NASCAR, 704Games/Motorsports Games and the Race Team Alliance. The newly-formed esports league featured 14 race teams and 28 drivers, each owned and operated by prominent NASCAR teams. All of the participating teams feature two drivers - one competing on Xbox One and the other on PlayStation 4.

The Team Penske eSports duo of Brian Tedeschi and Corey Rothgeb produced strong results during the 12-race season with Tedeschi (gamer tag @ShellVPower22) earning a win in the No. 22 Shell V-Power Ford Mustang during the inaugural eNHPL race at Charlotte Motor Speedway (CMS).

After finishing third in the championship standings during its debut season, Team Penske eSports returns to eNHPL competition with Tedeschi and Rothgeb in 2020 (bios and race results below). Under the new season format, specific races will feature a designated NASCAR class as Tedeschi and Rothgeb will compete with Cup Series, Xfinity Series and Truck Series vehicles throughout the course of the season.

"We want to win more races this year, plain and simple. The competition in the eNASCAR Heat Pro League is tough but we have the speed to do it. I can’t thank Shell-Pennzoil enough for their support. It’s pretty surreal to know that I will be running Joey Logano’s paint scheme this year. No pressure, right?"

"It is quite an honor for me to represent Würth and Team Penske eSports in the 2020 eNASCAR Heat Pro League season. I’ve watched the No. 2 Würth Ford Mustang run up front for years in the NASCAR Cup Series and I’m confident we can do the same in the online racing world. We were close to a championship last year and with the support of Würth, the sky is the limit for 2020."

TEAM PENSKE ON IRACING
NASCAR INDYCAR Supercars

This spring, Team Penske eSports has expanded to iRacing competition as some of the organization's NASCAR, INDYCAR and Supercars drivers are competing in series-supported online events through the eNASCAR Pro Invitational iRacing Series, the IndyCar iRacing Challenge and the Supercars All Stars e-Series. The team enjoyed a strong start to the season with seven victories in the month of April led by Scott McLaughlin, who captured wins in both Supercars and IndyCar iRacing competition, and Simon Pagenaud, who earned back-to-back IndyCar victories at Michigan and Twin Ring Motegi.
