As Team Penske competes in its 59th season in 2025, the organization is ready to build on its legacy as the winningest team in North American motorsports history.
With winning drivers and teams in place, Team Penske is focused on delivering race victories and championships for its partners and fans across all four racing series where it will compete this season.
In 2025, Team Penske will once again field three full-season entries in both the NASCAR Cup Series and the NTT INDYCAR SERIES, with the same driver lineup in place from the successful 2024 campaign. Now in its third season competing with the global Porsche Penske Motorsport (PPM) sports car program, the team will also return to race with two cars in both the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship as well as the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC).
After capturing the last three consecutive NASCAR Cup Series (NCS) championships, Team Penske hopes to make it four in a row in 2025. Joey Logano and the No. 22 Ford Mustang team captured their third series title and second championship in the last three years in 2024. After posting four wins on his way to the title last season, Logano looks to add to his stellar resume as one of NASCAR's most accomplished drivers this season behind the wheel of the No. 22 Shell-Pennzoil/Hunt Brother's Pizza/Autotrader/AAA Ford Mustang. Crew chief Paul Wolfe, who also has produced three series titles with Team Penske, returns to lead the No. 22 team this season as he and Logano aim to build on their success together.
After claiming his first Cup Series championship in 2023, Ryan Blaney and the No. 12 Ford Mustang team nearly went back-to-back last season. Blaney secured three victories in 2024 and pushed his teammate to the final lap of the season in the title chase before finishing in second place in the season finale and runner-up in the standings. Once again teamed with title-winning crew chief Jonathan Hassler, Blaney will pursue his second series championship in 2025 racing the No. 12 Menards/Advance Auto Parts/BODYARMOR/Wurth/Discount Tire/Wabash/Dent Wizard Ford Mustang.
After earning his best career Cup Series championship finish and his second NCS victory in 2024, Austin Cindric returns behind the wheel of the No. 2 Ford Mustang this season. The 2022 DAYTONA 500 champion for Team Penske was reunited with his former Xfinity Series crew chief, Brian Wilson, last season and the combination produced solid results as Cindric finished 11th in the final series standings. Wilson returns to lead the No. 2 Discount Tire/Menards/Freightliner/Autotrader/Snap-on Ford Mustang team this season.
In the NTT INDYCAR SERIES, Team Penske's trio of championship drivers – Josef Newgarden, Scott McLaughlin and Will Power – are all capable of winning races and fighting to claim the organization's 18th INDYCAR title. Between the three racers, Team Penske produced eight victories across the series' 17-race schedule in 2024 so the team certainly has the experience and production to compete for its 21st Indianapolis 500 victory and its first series championship since 2022.
For the second consecutive season, McLaughlin produced Team Penske top championship finish in 2024 as the No. 3 Chevrolet (the “Thirsty Threes”) team produced three wins and third place in the final standings. McLaughlin also continued to refine his INDYCAR qualifying prowess in 2024 as he led the series with five pole positions, including the biggest one of the season at the Indy 500 when he posted a record four-lap average speed of 234.220 mph to lead a Team Penske front-row sweep. With the combination of McLaughlin, strategist Kyle Moyer and race engineer Ben Bretzman leading the way, the No. 3 XPEL, DEX Imaging/Sonsio/Gallagher/EnerSys/Pennzoil/Good Ranchers/Tire Rack Chevrolet will be one to watch in 2025.
As he continues to etch his name in the INDYCAR record books competing in his 21st INDYCAR SERIES season in 2025, Will Power remains on top of his game. INDYCAR's all-time pole leader and the driver of the No. 12 Verizon Business Chevrolet tied McLaughlin for the series lead with three victories in 2024 and wound up fourth in the final standings. Once again paired with longtime race engineer David Faustino and strategist Ron Ruzewski on the No. 12 team, Power is positioned to battle for this third series title and second Indy 500 win this season.
In 2024, Newgarden became the first driver since Team Penske's Helio Castroneves (2001-2002) to post back-to-back Indy 500 victories. While Newgarden added a second win on the season and finished eighth in the championship standings, the driver of the No. 2 Chevrolet is looking for consistent finishes in 2025 as he pursues his third series championship and chases history in an effort to win his third consecutive Indy 500. Newgarden has experience on his side with Tim Cindric as his strategist and Luke Mason as race engineer ready to lead the No. 2 Astemo/PPG/Shell/Snap-on Chevrolet team.
In just its second season, the global Porsche Penske Motorsports (PPM) program claimed championships last season in both series where its teams competed. The No. 7 Porsche 963 team won the GTP Class title in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship while the No. 6 Porsche captured the World Endurance Championship Hypercar crown. Porsche Penske Motorsport will race to defend the titles in the respective series this season while also trying to earn an elusive victory in the 24 Hours of Le Mans endurance classic this summer.
In IMSA competition this season, the team will once again field two LMDh hybrid Prototypes in the GTP Class. Matt Campbell returns to full season IMSA competition in 2025 and he will be paired with Mathieu Jaminet in the No. 6 Porsche 963. Three-time IMSA champion Felipe Nasr returns to the No. 7 Porsche 963 looking to defend his title from last season and he will team up with experienced race winner Nick Tandy, who will transition from the No. 6 car in 2025.
PPM looks to build on its WEC success from 2024 with a strong lineup among its two Porsche 963s. Michael Christensen returns to race the No. 5 Porsche this season and the team welcomes a new addition to the driver lineup with Julien Andlauer pairing up with Christensen. For the third consecutive season, the No. 6 963 entry will feature drivers Laurens Vanthoor and Kevin Estre behind the wheel as they look to reclaim their championship form in 2025.
Featuring championship experience on track and in the garage across all levels of competition, Team Penske is excited for the new challenges and opportunities that lie ahead this season as the organization adds to its unmatched record of over 640 race wins, nearly 700 poles and 47 championships in its storied history.
