Recap: Brad Keselowski and the No. 22 Hertz Ford Mustang team started the Lakes Region 200 from the fourth position, led 17 laps and brought home a solid third-place finish on Saturday afternoon at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.  Keselowski rolled off from the fourth spot and eventually settled into third place early in the 200-lap event.  On a restart following an early caution flag, leaders Dennny Hamlin and Kyle Busch got together in front of Keselowski, allowing him to take over the top spot while barely slipping by the accident.  Keselowski was able to lead for 17 laps before having to pit for service with the rest of the field. Over the course of the event, the No. 22 machine ran inside the top-five as he battled tight center / loose exit condition. The No. 22 Hertz Ford crew provided strong service and crew chief Greg Erwin made solid adjustments throughout the event, allowing Keselowski to eventually score a solid third-place result. The finish was Keselowski’s fourth top-five finish of the season in just five NASCAR Xfinity Series (NXS) starts. The strong effort keeps the No. 22 Hertz Ford team at the front of the NXS Owners’ Standings, as they now have a 46-point advantage over the No. 33 of Richard Childress Racing.

Quote: “We were just a little bit off everywhere, but Greg Erwin and everyone on the No. 22 Hertz Ford Mustang team worked real hard. We had great execution there and got the most out of what we had to finish third, so that’s something to be proud of. We just weren’t quite as fast as the 33 (Dillon) and the 20 (Hamlin) were. They were probably the two best cars the whole race and the 2 car (Brian Scott) looked like he was really good, but we just weren’t fast enough this weekend. We were lacking a little bit of speed, but this is my first time working with Greg Erwin here and we’ll get to work and come back a little bit better next time.”
