  • Josef Newgarden won the pole for Sunday's Verizon IndyCar Series race on the Streets of Toronto by laying down his quickest lap of the Firestone Fast Six just as the session expired on Saturday afternoon.  All three team Penske cars – Newgarden's No. 1 Hitachi Chevrolet, Will Power's No. 12 Verizon Chevrolet and Simon Pagenaud's No. 22 DXC Technology Chevrolet – made it through the first two rounds of qualifying to the Fast Six during an afternoon that was plagued by on-and-off again rain drops.  Pagenaud overcame some struggles during the weekend's practice sessions to qualify third, while Power will start fourth on Sunday afternoon.

Sunday's Verizon IndyCar Series race will air on NBC Sports Network at 3 p.m. on Sunday, July 15.
