Team Penske to Celebrate 6,000 Starts This Weekend

The list of accomplishments over 58 years of competition at Team Penske is endless. When Austin Cindric, Ryan Blaney and Joey Logano line up for the green flag at the NASCAR Cup Series Cook Out 400 at Martinsville Speedway this Sunday, it will mark a significant milestone for Roger Penske – 6,000 starts as a team owner.
The astonishing achievement includes starts across 18 different racing series around the world, dating back to 1966, with 109 different drivers piloting Penske-prepared vehicles.
From humble beginnings competing out of a small race shop in Newtown Square, Pennsylvania, Team Penske has accumulated 44 national championships, 626 wins, 687 pole positions, 2,322 top-five and 3,342 top-10 finishes.
Brad Keselowski leads all drivers in starts for Team Penske with 587. Joey Logano is in the top spot among current team drivers with 466 starts.
