Joey Logano Celebrates 400th Team Penske Start

Two-time NASCAR Cup Series Champion Joey Logano makes his 400th Team Penske NASCAR Cup Series (NCS) start Sunday at Phoenix Raceway, becoming one of three drivers in the organization’s history to reach the milestone.
Since joining Team Penske prior to the start of the 2013 season – Logano’s fifth full-time NCS season - he has produced two championships, 30 race wins and 24 pole awards across 11-plus seasons while recording at least one win each year.
Logano joins Rusty Wallace (496 starts) and Brad Keselowski (435 starts) as the only drivers with at least 400 NCS starts with Team Penske. The trio of drivers has accounted for 101 of the organization’s 142 Cup Series victories all-time.
Logano’s 400th Team Penske NCS start will also mark the debut of the No. 22 Hunt Brothers Pizza Ford Mustang Sunday at Phoenix. Coverage of the Shriners Children’s 500 begins at 3:30 p.m. ET on FOX, MRN, and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio Channel 90.

August 18, 2013 - Logano Earns First Team Penske Win at Michigan: Logano led a race-high 51 laps en route to his first win with Team Penske, Ford, and longtime partner Shell-Pennzoil at Michigan International Speedway after starting the weekend by winning the pole. The victory also marked Logano’s second-career win from the pole and led to his first-career NASCAR Playoffs appearance.
October 5, 2014 - Logano Picks up Fifth Win at Kansas, Advances to First Championship 4: Logano put together a breakout season in 2014 - his second with Team Penske - by capturing five wins (Texas, Richmond, Bristol, Loudon, Kansas) and capped off the year with a pair wins in Playoff races at Loudon and Kansas to advance to his first-career Championship 4 appearance.
February 22, 2015 - Logano Claims Team Penske’s Second Daytona 500 Victory to Set Off Career Year: Logano raced his way to his first - and Team Penske’s second - DAYTONA 500 victory in the Shell-Pennzoil Ford. The famed victory was only the start of what was to come for Logano in 2015, as he put the Cup Series on notice with a career and series-high six race wins (Daytona, Watkins Glen, Bristol, Charlotte, Kansas, Talladega) along with a career-best six pole awards.
November 13, 2016 - Logano Earns 15th Cup Series Win with Team Penske at Phoenix: With three wins in 2016 (Michigan, Talladega, Phoenix), Logano moved into third all-time on Team’s Penske’s Cup Series wins list and advanced to his second Championship 4 in Homestead where he eventually finished second in the final standings.
November 18, 2018 - Logano Secures First Cup Series Championship: After clinching a spot in the Championship 4 with a win at Martinsville in the opening race of the Round of 8, Logano joined elite company by leading a race-high 82 laps in the championship race at Homestead to become a first-time Cup Series champion. The title marked the second in Team Penske history while Logano joined Richard Petty, David Pearson, Dale Earnhardt, Jeff Gordon, and Matt Kenseth as the only drivers to win a Cup Series Championship, DAYTONA 500, and Rookie of the Year honors.
March 8, 2020 - Logano Races to 25th Cup Series Victory, Joining Elite Company: After picking up the win in the Pennzoil 400 at Las Vegas two weeks prior, Logano notched his 25th-career Cup Series victory in Phoenix, making him one of only four drivers in NASCAR history to win 25 premier series races under the age of 30, joining the ranks of Richard Petty, Jeff Gordon, and Kyle Busch.
November 6, 2022 - Logano Becomes a Two-Time Cup Series Champion: Logano clinched his fifth-career Championship 4 appearance with a win in Las Vegas to open the Round of 8, allowing he and the No. 22 team to set their sights on Phoenix for Championship Weekend two weeks early. Logano and teammate Ryan Blaney combined to lead 296 of the 312 laps that Sunday in Phoenix with Logano’s Shell-Pennzoil Ford leading the final 30 to earn his second-career Cup Series title. Logano is currently one of two active drivers to have won multiple Cup Series championships.
March 19, 2023 - Logano Picks Up 30th Team Penske Win at Atlanta: After winning the pole as part of Team Penske’s sweep of the top-three qualifying positions for the first time in the organization’s history, Logano put together a dominant performance at Atlanta by leading a race-high 140 laps to secure the win. While it was Logano’s first-career win at Atlanta, it also marked his 30th Cup Series win with Team Penske, joining Rusty Wallace and Brad Keselowski as the only three drivers to reach that milestone.
February 14, 2024 - Logano Earns Team Penske’s First DAYTONA 500 Pole: Logano achieved another first for team owner Roger Penske by capturing the organization’s first DAYTONA 500 pole award. The all-Ford front row for the 66th running of The Great American race was a first for the manufacturer since 2012.
