Recap: Joey Logano and the No. 22 Shell-Pennzoil Ford team qualified third for Saturday night's Bank of America 500 at Charlotte Motor Speedway, giving him his second-straight top-three start at the 1.5-mile track. Logano turned a lap of 27.976 seconds in the final round of qualifying on Thursday night, 0.217 seconds off the pole winning time of Matt Kenseth. Logano was 15th quick in the first round and second in the second round, but got tight off of turn four in his final run, settling for third. Logano's teammate, Brad Keselowski, drove his No. 2 Detroit Genuine Parts Ford Fusion to the 13th quickest time in qualifying. Keselowski actually tied with Carl Edwards in the second round for the 12th and transferring position, but lost the tiebreaker based on the current point standings and had to settle for 13th. Keselowski is a former winner at Charlotte, coming in 2013.
