THE LADY IN BLACK: Located in Darlington, South Carolina, Darlington Raceway's unique 1.366-mile egg-shaped oval hosted practice and qualifying Saturday afternoon as teams prepare for Sunday's Goodyear 400. Team Penske enters the weekend with five victories at the historic track, most recently earned by Joey Logano in this event in 2022. Early in the 2026 season, Ryan Blaney has led laps in all five races and ranks fifth in average finish (12.4), while both Blaney (402 laps) and Logano (338 laps) sit among the top 10 drivers in laps run inside the top five. Logano also ranks fifth in laps led with 111, and all three Team Penske drivers are inside the top 10 in stage points collected, led by Blaney in second (46), with Logano eighth (31) and Austin Cindric ninth (30).
CINDRIC SAID IT: "We obviously have decent speed in our Freightliner Ford Mustang. I definitely overdrove turn one on my lap, but it was a solid lap and should put us in a good position for tomorrow. There's a lot different going on with the package, so a lot of homework to do tonight even if we feel decent about our speed. There's a lot to learn still. There may be different driving characteristics to the car with the different package and you definitely would expect that, but trying to figure out what to dial in and what we can dial in and what I have to adapt to in the car, so it's a pretty busy day, pretty busy inside the car, but I'm confident we can continue to gain on it overnight."
UP NEXT: The green flag for the Goodyear 400 is set for 3 p.m. ET Sunday. Live coverage will be held on FS1, MRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio Channel 90.
