FIRST ROAD COURSE ON THE CIRCUIT: The NASCAR Cup Series returns to Circuit of the Americas for the sixth time, marking the first of four road course events on the 2026 schedule. This year's event marks the second the Cup Series has competed on the 2.3-mile National Course layout after running the 3.41-mile Full Course layout from 2021-2024.

Ryan Blaney posted the fastest time in Group 2 practice and was second overall during Saturday morning's practice session while also setting the top mark for consecutive 10-lap average. Blaney and the No. 12 Menards/Pennzoil Ford Mustang Dark Horse team will lead the Team Penske entries to green on Sunday after qualifying fourth. Blaney's 2018 Charlotte Roval win stands as Team Penske's most recent Cup Series road course victory, marking his first of 16 career wins with the organization.
