Paul Menard begins his 13th season competing full-time in NASCAR’s premier series in 2019. Menard will drive the No. 21 Motorcraft/Quick Lane/Menards Ford Mustang in his second season racing for NASCAR’s longest-running team, Wood Brothers Racing, in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series (MENCS). Menard will also race a select schedule in the 2019 NASCAR XFINITY Series (NXS) for Team Penske. Wood Brothers Racing formed a technical alliance with Team Penske in 2015 and the two teams will build on the partnership this season.

Menard joined Wood Brothers Racing in 2018 – the 65th season a Wood Brothers car raced in MENCS competition.  Last season, Menard posted one top-five finish and seven top-10 finishes in the No. 21 Ford, and he also won the pole position at Chicagoland Speedway. Menard enters the 2019 season focused on winning the 100th race for the legendary Wood Brothers Racing team.

A three-time winner in NXS competition over the course of his career, Menard will race in select 2019 series races driving the No. 12 Team Penske Ford Mustang. A native of Eau Claire, Wis., Menard first raced for Team Penske last season as he made four NXS starts for the team. He earned top-10 finishes in all four of his races in 2018, including a top-two start and a top-five result at Michigan.

The 38-year-old Menard began racing go karts at the age of eight, competing in his home state of Wisconsin, as he captured two Briggs Class Championships during his karting career. Before making his NASCAR debut in 2001, Menard excelled in the International Ice Racing Association as he produced 10 victories.
