BACK AT DAYTONA: NASCAR Cup Series teams took to Daytona International Speedway Friday afternoon for qualifying to set the starting lineup for Saturday night's Coke Zero Sugar 400, the final race of the regular season before the 10-race Chase begins next weekend at Darlington Raceway. Thirteen drivers have already secured their spots in the Chase, including Team Penske's Ryan Blaney and Joey Logano, leaving three positions still up for grabs in Saturday night's regular-season finale. Five drivers remain in contention for those final spots, with Austin Cindric currently 44 points above the cut line.
Team Penske has six Cup Series victories at Daytona, including Blaney's win in the Coke Zero Sugar 400 one year ago. The organization will look to add to that history Saturday night while Cindric and the No. 2 team aim to secure their place in the Chase.
