THE BRICKYARD: NASCAR Cup Series teams returned to the historic Indianapolis Motor Speedway on Saturday afternoon for qualifying ahead of Sunday's Brickyard 400 Presented by PPG to set the starting lineup. Team Penske enters the weekend carrying plenty of momentum after back-to-back victories by Joey Logano at North Wilkesboro Speedway and Ryan Blaney at Atlanta Motor Speedway, as the organization looks to secure its third consecutive Cup Series win. Blaney arrives at Indianapolis riding an 11-race streak of finishes of 11th or better – the longest such streak of the Next Gen era – while Austin Cindric returns to a track where he has posted finishes of seventh and 15th in his two previous Cup Series starts on the oval. Logano owns five top-five finishes in 14 Brickyard starts, including a runner-up result, while Blaney has recorded a best finish of third in eight appearances. Team Penske's lone Brickyard 400 victory came in 2018 with then driver Brad Keselowski.
400 & ONE MILLION: This weekend's Brickyard 400 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway presents a pair of marquee moments for Ryan Blaney and the No. 12 team as Blaney is set to make his 400th career NASCAR Cup Series start while vying for the $1 million prize in the Champions Round of the In-Season Challenge. Blaney and the No. 12 team square off against Todd Gilliland and the No. 34 team in a head-to-head matchup for the million-dollar payday as the five-week bracket challenge comes down to the final two drivers at The Racing Capital of the World. Blaney has been a model of consistency in the four weeks leading up to the Champions Round with an average finish of 6.25 - including his second win of the 2026 season at EchoPark Speedway on July 12.
UP NEXT: Sunday's green flag at Indianapolis is set to fly just after 2 p.m. ET with coverage on TNT, IMS Radio and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.
