SETTING THE STAGE: After serving as the home of the NASCAR All-Star Race from 2023-2025, historic North Wilkesboro Speedway hosts its first points-paying NASCAR Cup Series race since 1996 with Sunday's Window World 450 under the lights. Inclement weather forced the cancellation of Saturday's qualifying session, leaving teams with a 50-minute full-field practice session and the starting lineup set according to the NASCAR Rulebook.

Team Penske enters the weekend with momentum following Ryan Blaney's dominant victory at EchoPark Speedway, where he became the first driver in 2026 to win the pole, sweep both stages and win the race. Ryan Blaney's 15 top-10 finishes in 2026 are the most through 20 races in the Next Gen era, while his current streak of eight consecutive top-10 finishes is the longest of his career. His 171 laps led at Atlanta were also the most by a driver in a single drafting-track race since Richard Petty paced 184 laps in the 1964 Daytona 500. Joey Logano also returns to a track where he won the 2024 NASCAR All-Star Race, adding recent success to Team Penske's history at the iconic venue.

CELEBRATING PENSKE 60: As part of Team Penske's 60th anniversary celebrations, Austin Cindric's No. 2 Freightliner Ford Mustang Dark Horse will sport the iconic black-and-gold throwback scheme that honors Rusty Wallace's sweep of the North Wilkesboro Speedway races in 1993. Wallace led a combined 301 of 800 laps across the two events - a key highlight of his career-best 10-win season.

In addition, the livery features every No. 2 car Cup Series victory in Team Penske history, along with the names of all current employees, past drivers and Team Penske Hall of Fame members. Of the organization's 450 employees, approximately 40 percent have been with the team for over 10 years, reflecting the dedication and stability that have helped define the team's success.
