TEAM PENSKE DETROIT HISTORY: Team Penske first competed on the streets of Detroit in 1989 with the tandem of Rick Mears and Danny Sullivan. Emerson Fittipaldi joined the team in 1990 and scored their first Motor City win in 1991, the final year before the race moved to Belle Isle Park. In the 30 races run on the Detroit River island circuit, Team Penske amassed eight wins with three coming via the right foot of Will Power.

THEY SAID IT: "It was OK. I caught Rasmussen at the wrong time on that push lap. I think we missed by a hundredth. It's so tight in INDYCAR you can't afford to not give yourself enough gap to get a run. I think we maximized as much as we could with the Tire Rack Chevy and that's where we are."
