Tire Rack Featured on No. 2 Chevy for Portland Race

MOORESVILLE, N.C. (August 20, 2024) – Team Penske announced today that Tire Rack will increase its visibility across the team’s NTT INDYCAR SERIES program by becoming the primary sponsor of the No. 2 Team Penske Chevrolet, driven by two-time and reigning Indianapolis 500 Champion Josef Newgarden, for the upcoming race at Portland International Raceway (PIR). Tire Rack previously joined the organization as an associate partner across the Team Penske Chevrolets in the INDYCAR SERIES prior to the 2022 season, with 14 visits to Victory Lane in that span.

Newgarden is a 31-time race winner in INDYCAR SERIES competition, earning back-to-back wins in the Indianapolis 500 in 2023 and 2024 with the Tire Rack logo adorning the front wing of the No. 2 Chevrolet. The 2017 and 2019 INDYCAR SERIES Champion has eight career wins on road courses similar to PIR. He is currently eighth in the INDYCAR SERIES championship standings following last weekend's victory at Worldwide Technology Raceway near St. Louis.
The NTT INDYCAR SERIES has four races remaining on the 2024 schedule. Following the Portland weekend, the series visits the Milwaukee Mile for a doubleheader before the season finale at Nashville Superspeedway. The Portland event can be seen live on the USA Network beginning at 3 pm ET on Sunday, August 25.
