AdventHealth 400 Qualifying - Kansas Speedway
Kansas City, KS - May 4, 2024
NASCAR Cup Series teams arrived to a gloomy Kansas City, Kansas, Saturday morning in preparation for Sunday's AdventHealth 400 at Kansas Speedway, the first of two annual trips to the Sunflower State. Team Penske has six Cup Series victories at the 1.5-mile track - three of which are Joey Logano's - with the organization's most recent victory being scored by Logano in 2020.
HEAR FROM CINDRIC: "The guys did a really good job between practice and qualifying. We didn't quite have the speed we wanted there in practice and have a lot to look at before tomorrow. I am proud of the speed of our Ford Mustang in qualifying. High commitment here but the car looks great for this weekend with this new Snap-on Tools paint scheme and hopefully, we will have a good pit selection and get us on the right foot for Sunday."
RETURNING TO KANSAS: Team Penske has six Cup Series victories at Kansas Speedway. Joey Logano is responsible for three of those wins, achieved in 2014, 2015, and 2020. Additionally, Sunday's 400-mile race will mark Logano's 30th start at the track where he has finished in inside the top-10 in four of his last seven starts. Teammate Ryan Blaney made his Cup Series debut at Kansas in 2014 and has since scored one pole and seven top-10 finishes with a best result of third. For Austin Cindric, the 25-year-old driver has a best start of fourth and a best finish of 11th through his five Cup Series starts at the track.
RACE DAY: Coverage of Sunday afternoon's AdventHealth 400 Cup Series race kicks off at 3:00 p.m. ET with coverage being carried on FS1, MRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio Channel 90.
