Phoenix, Arizona – March 9, 2024
The NASCAR Cup Series rounds out its 'West Coast Swing' this weekend with a stop in Phoenix, Arizona, for a 312-mile duel on Sunday at Phoenix Raceway. Following a full 50-minute practice session Friday afternoon, drivers returned to the track Saturday for qualifying to set the starting lineup for Sunday's Shriners Children's 500.
Ryan Blaney led the trio of Team Penske entries in qualifying and will start 16th with Joey Logano 23rd and Austin Cindric 34th.
RETURNING TO PHOENIX: The 2023 NASCAR Cup Series championship-winning team, Team Penske, returns to Phoenix Raceway where Ryan Blaney claimed his first Cup Series title last November. Blaney has his sights set on a victory after finishing second in each of the last three races at the one-mile Arizona track.
MIC'D UP: Following his on-track obligations on Saturday, Logano will join the FOX broadcast booth with Jamie Little and Daniel Suárez as an analyst for the NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Phoenix Raceway. Coverage of the event begins at 4:30 p.m. ET on FS1.
RACE DAY: Over 300 miles of Cup Series action are scheduled for Sunday afternoon at 3:30 p.m. ET. Coverage will be carried on FOX, MRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.
