Kansas City, Kan. (April 21, 2012) - Sam Hornish, Jr., driver of the No. 12 SKF Dodge Charger, qualified 10th for Sunday afternoon’s STP 400 at Kansas Speedway.

Hornish turned a lap of 30.842 seconds around the one-and-a-half-mile track at an average speed of 175.086 miles per hour. Penske Racing teammates, A.J. Allmendinger and Brad Keselowski qualified first and 11th, respectively.

“Our SKF Dodge was pretty good out there this morning,” said Hornish. “We would have liked to be just a bit better, but overall this is great starting position for us – especially considering that we had to get in the show on speed. We are in great shape heading into tomorrow and we are going to give it our best.”

The STP 400 coverage will begin at 12:30 p.m. ET on Fox on Sunday, April 22. Race coverage will also be broadcast live on the Motor Racing Network and Sirius Satellite Radio Channel 90.
