Food City 500
Bristol, Tennessee - April 12, 2025

Ryan Blaney: 5th

Austin Cindric: 21st

Joey Logano: 38th

THUNDER VALLEY: As the NASCAR Cup Series prepares for the Food City 500, teams and drivers hit the track today at Bristol Motor Speedway for practice and qualifying to set the lineup for Sunday's 500-lap showdown. Nicknamed "The Last Great Colosseum," the high-banked, half-mile track is known for its short-track chaos and nonstop action. Team Penske has recorded 14 Cup Series victories at Thunder Valley, including Joey Logano's win on the dirt configuration in 2021. During Logano's qualifying run, the No. 22 made contact with the outside wall, resulting in damage to the right rear. He will drop to the rear of the field due to repairs.

HEAR FROM BLANEY: "We had good fire off speed in practice. I wish I could have my lap over again. I feel like I left a lot out there just trying not to mess up and not post a time, but, overall it was a good day. We've got to get a little bit better for the long haul tomorrow, but hopefully we'll make the right changes."

HEAR FROM JOEY: "I was just having to push it hard trying to make a fast lap. It turned pretty good and I got a little bit down on that apron there and it kind of shoved me up. I kind of got free and then I got into the looser stuff and hit the wall. The last few times we've qualified here in the Next Gen car it's been kind of sketchy to say the least."

TUNE IN ON SUNDAY: Coverage of Sunday's Food City 500 from The Last Great Colosseum kicks off at 3:00 p.m. ET on FS1, with live radio coverage on PRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.
