JOLIET, Ill. (September 17, 2011) – Brad Keselowski and the No. 2 Miller Lite Dodge Charger team qualified sixth for Sunday’s Geico 400 at Chicagoland Speedway.
Keselowski toured the 1.5-mile, high-banked oval in 29.531 seconds, or 182.859 miles per hour. The Penske Racing driver recently qualified for his first Chase for the Championship and will look to start the playoffs on a strong note. Teammate Kurt Busch qualified third in the No. 2 Shell/Pennzoil Dodge.
“It was solid lap for this Miller Lite Dodge,” said Keselowski. “The track really changed from yesterday, it was a lot warmer. I’m pretty happy with the lap. It looks like my teammate Kurt ran a great lap too. We’ll take it. It looks like we’ll be inside the top 10 to start tomorrow’s race. That’s a great way to start the Chase."
The Geico 400 will air live at 2:00 p.m. ET on ESPN on Sunday, September 18. Race coverage will also be broadcast live on the Performance Racing Network and Sirius Satellite Radio Channel 90.
