No. 22 Discount Tire Dodge Challenger News and Notes 
• The No. 22 Discount Tire Dodge Challenger in 2011...
After five events, Brad Keselowski and the reigning champion No. 22 Discount Tire Dodge Challenger team sit 17th in the 2011 NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS) owner point standings.
• This Week’s Challenger… The Penske Racing Discount Tire Dodge Challenger team will use chassis PRS-213 during Friday’s O’Reilly Auto Parts 300 at the 1.5-mile Texas Motor Speedway (TMS) oval. This is a former Cup Series chassis that has been converted to a NNS chassis.
• Site of a Crowning Achievement... By finishing third in the fall 2010 NNS race at TMS, Keselowski clinched the series championship with two races remaining in the season. The championship was the first NASCAR title for team owner Roger Penske.
• Keselowski Speedway Stats… In 84 speedway starts in the Nationwide Series, Keselowski has accumulated five wins, 36 top-five finishes, 51 top-10 results and four pole awards. In addition, he has led the field for 970 laps at tracks between one and two miles in length.
• New Commercial… Beginning this week, Keselowski will be featured in a new ESPN commercial that features the theme of veteran drivers competing against young guns in the NNS. The cinematography will remind viewers of the classic racing movies “Le Mans” and “Grand Prix.”
• Tire Safety Spokesman… On Saturday afternoon, April 9, Keselowski will appear on KTCK 1310 The Ticket radio to educate listeners on the importance of tire safety. Keselowski and Discount Tire work closely with the Rubber Manufacturers Association to bring awareness to tire safety. Tire Safety Week runs from June 5-11, 2011.
• See Brad at Discount Tire… Keselowski will make an appearance at the Discount Tire store located at 2405 Grapevine Mills Circle in Grapevine, Texas on Wednesday, April 6 at 4:00 pm CT.

“Texas is an extremely fast track in any kind of car, but no stock car gives you the sensation of speed that the Nationwide Series car does. It actually feels faster than a Cup car. You enter Turn 1 at around 190-195 mph, depending on whether you are in race trim or qualifying trim. If your car is handling the way it needs to, you’ll go through that corner without lifting, or barely lifting, out of the throttle. You’re on the edge the entire lap and if you don’t hit your marks you can easily end up in the wall. I’m excited about the car we’re bringing and I think we can run up front and contend for the win.”

“By far, the most important thing to work on when going to Texas is making sure you get over the bumps in Turn 1 without upsetting the car. It is one of the fastest corners we see all year and it doesn’t take much to get out of shape. If you can get through that corner and keep the car turning, the rest of the lap should be pretty fast. NASCAR is giving us extra practice time once again so we should have plenty of time to learn more about what we need. The last time we visited a 1.5-mile oval we had a win in sight (Las Vegas). Hopefully we can finish what we started this weekend.”
